My understanding is that internships are generally unpaid in Sweden. Also I think they’re part of educational process, so folks at school can get some hands-on.

Don't know about Sweden. Looks like unpaid just like back in UK. And yes I do feel like it's wrong because universities or loan companies don't give you extra money to do internships. Which means it's only open only for people who can afford a lot of extra expenses

If you don't have parents with money most likely you are screwed. I don't expect anyone to pay a good wage for the work an intern does but they (especially large companies) could pay at least a minimum wage so more people can afford to do an internship

When applying for jobs everyone wants you to have work experience but if all internships are unpaid and you have no money...
