I've been doing a few small things in my rap career that just make sense to me now that are also differentiating me in the "marketplace."
The latest of which is performing with a retro mic.

It's pretty cool, because I've only seen legendary rappers like Ghostface and Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) use it.
Cool class of people to put myself in.

More importantly though, I grew up loving Rakim and have a really bad habit of cuffing the mic the way he does.
If you've seen me speak at a marketing conference, I'm always louder than everyone else because of this.
But it's a difficult habit to shake.

However, due to the shape of the retro mic, there's no way to cuff it and it pretty much no matter how I hear it I sound more clear than everyone else that's performing.
So, it's an example of doing something for branding purposes that ultimately yielded better results.
