No clue, mate. Apple even provides the API and the dev tools necessary to do that.
That’s why I use Safari to access YouTube on my iPad.
Yeah, that’s probably the best option to watch YouTube in PiP mode.

Speaking of them being lazy. Look at the YouTube app having the home bar overlap the text. It’s been over two months since the iPad Pro got out, and YouTube was recently updated to support it. Yet a couple of updates were pushed with the same issue.pic.twitter.com/knHWte5K8w
I think it’s really annoying too. The CornerTube iPad app helped a lot though, it’s better than nothing
Yeah, I heard about it. But it’s good to have the native app support a simple feature like that, right? Just checked and noticed that CornerTube was last updated 9 months ago. Pretty sure it isn’t optimized for the latest iPad Pro.
