    “Engagement” is a bullshit metric designed for people who need a number, any number, to justify their budget request. Allowing companies to misrepresent this metric as “impact” is an incentive for manipulation.

    Did you know that in humans enamel is laid down over dentine towards the end of tooth development? But in sharks, the crown is covered by enameloid, which develops first! That's why you see hollow crowns of developing teeth in this CT reconstruction of a tooth file.
