Agree with a sentiment, disagree with a fact: Lisp is a
#Lindy tinkerers tool, not exactly based on some theory (lambda roots is a fake story). Like people were building magnificent temples before Euclid, and they were (some still are) better comparing to "axiomatic" architecture -
That doesn't change the fact that Lisp had a profound effect to the evolution of programming languages and the ideas behind Lisp are still very much relevant even today, after over six decades.

I encourage advocacy, always. Perhaps the tricky bit is balancing the hype vs the big picture, learning paths and higher order concepts. Self discovery seems to be a harder path for many. Joining the dots makes for a better experience for most. Advocacy is just the first step.

There's historical precedence when people turn against it, because they see it as self-evident truth that you are wrong, because of your need to enthusiastically advocate for something.
