Black. On Purpose (she/her)’s Tweets

All the white people calling for Will Smith to be cancelled, arrested or for some other punitive actions for slapping Chris Rock, keep that same ass energy the next time a Black person is killed by the police. Yup…. That’s where I took it.
2) Will didnt get the joke until it was explained. We laugh at jokes we dont get to be polite, bc others are laughing or we dont want others to know we dont get it. If it’s offensive once explained laughing is replace by anger. But I doubt Will’s IQ is such that he didn’t get it

I could see if Will first cursed from his seat & it escalated to a hit- but I doubt Will would’ve STARTED with a slap if it were someone else. And a slap is a tactic of emasculation. He wouldn’t have tried that with DL Hugley, Mike Epps, Roy Wood, or Eddie (Murphy or Griffin)

1) In search of clout Will slapped him. He turned away with such confidence instead of backing away. He knew Chris wouldn’t hit back. It was calculated. If it were Tyson or Cedric the Entertainer, would Will have rolled up on and slapped them? And with that level of confidence?

Chris was wrong but I‘m confused by Will’s reactions. How does one go from laughing at something they thought was funny to angry enough to walk over and slap someone? It has to be one of two things. 1) It was a performance. 2) He didn’t get it the joke.
