Or the stories of teachers running out of copy paper already... Or the teacher begging for Clorox wipes during flu season to keep the desks and class set of chrome books germ free after running out of parent supplied ones... Take your pick! It’s about the funding! 3/6

Now let’s talk facilities. Yes, high school stadiums in general are over the top. However, as stated earlier, facilities are updated through bonds. I happen to live in an awesome community that continually passes bond issues. But more than football stadiums are funded. 4/6

Band needs are funded, performing arts needs are funded. And yes, I think those extracurricular activities are important whether it’s athletics, performance arts, debate, FFA...whatever engages a kid. 5/6

Also, upgraded F-5 gyms are funded, upgrading entrances to make them safer from intruders are funded, a new science wing was funded, technology and some books are funded, new elementary schools are funded. I could go on and on...my community supports all aspects of education 6/6

Hi I'm David w/CNN. What grade is your daughter in? Is this a textbook she uses daily? Are you participating in protests? Where do you live? Will you let CNN use this photo on all platforms/affiliates in perpetuity w/credit to you? Tag #yes CNN to say yes. Thanks.

This was in a history class but my daughter is actually in that room for an elective. However she only has a class set in her room. 8th grade in Owasso. She participated locally. You can use the photo, but my daughter took the photo and does not have social media. #yes CNN.
