A common message here. One 17-year-old told me her parents save voicemails from her in case she gets killed at school.pic.twitter.com/7ODy9Y1anf

Feeling a hell of a lot better about the future of our country after seeing how this generation has sprung into action, how determined and articulate they are. Let's all support them any way we can, but let it be their movement. They've earned it.

I have a feeling, Rick, that these kids will Never go quietly into that goodnight. They are in this for the long haul, and will raise us all up into becoming the nation we all knew we could be.

If they are 18 they need to register to vote, and then actually do it. Their age group can swing elections if they want to.

The District of Columbia has some of the most draconian gun control in the nation. I think these kids just wanted to skip school.

I'm still thinking free day off school. Seriously.
-
I'm still thinking you'll end up on the wrong side of history on this one

What makes you so sure you know what side of history I’m on? I just know kids like ditching school.
-
And I know kids tend to lead the way, and then the adults follow
