We're raising funds to pay for #MEcfs brain scanning in a dual MR-PET machine using the [11C]-PBR28 ligand. This will let us look for glial activation (neuroinflammation) in brainstem. These scans cost $5,980 each (incl. indirects).

(We've set a goal of paying for 5 scans, which will be enough to use for pilot data in applying for more funding to finish a well-powered study. If someone with a lot of resources wants to fund the whole study, contact me.)

Most people who follow me do so because I study ME/CFS. You should know- I only want to help you get better so you can join the revolution.

No, not this type of scan. Both the machine and the radioligand are research-only; some day perhaps will be used clinically. We're getting insurance to pay for the pricey part of another study, which is why I'm asking for help on this one.

Donated, good luck with the funding. I'm just sad it will mostly be the patients who are donating - people who can't work, have barely anything, and have no support from their governments.

Thanks very much. Some patients come from wealthier families, I am asking people on disability to not donate

(If you're on disability or struggling with money, please don't donate - you're already doing your part and we will find a way to get this paid for!)

Hey —could you help? People with ME/CFS are your loyal customers because we can’t leave our homes to shop.

If & won't respond to their customers about removing ads from Breitbart, even ignored their own employees, I doubt they'll respond to this. But I hope I'm wrong!
