Aye because someone with a wheel chair couldn't just sit by the end of the bench
-
That, or just sit on the bench. My colleague, for example, likes to transfer herself onto the bench, she just needs the backrest or a handrest on either side for support.

Vile and, bizarrely, the thought that reducing the seating area by 1/3 somehow makes it more "accessible".
-
It’d be far too difficult to seat adjacent to the bench without a metal back support. You know, since wheelchairs are famously just barstools on wheels

Tf is the purpose of this anyways can they not just pull up next to the bench and chill?? They’re already SITTING
-
It’s to stop the homeless from being able to lay down on the bench. They aren’t fooling anyone with their anti-homeless BS
