Aaaah but your educated and held to a higher standard. US cops aren't. The key difference is Education, Training and COmpassion. Nurses have those, cops don't.

I don't live in the US so excuse my question: What kind of education do you need to be a policeman/policewoman? What kind of training to you get before you "are allowed to be in charge" (hope it makes sense)?

I’m going to point out what I would assume to be obvious. If you enter a room to someone kicking/hitting/scratching/spitting/biting, do you really think we (nurses) enter that situation with a needle? The answer is no. Until the patient is completely restrained, no drugs.
