Anyone else being told that even apron and visor are no longer recommended for suspected Covid-19?
Just surgical mask and gloves???
Been told it's WHO guidelines.
Like I said last week, it appears the scale back will mean I am examining people in a bikini soon.

We have no alcohol gel. We have no clinical wipes. We have a handful of masks.

Back to making masks like they did for the 1918 Flu pandemic?...is this better than nothing?... Have seen large bin bags mooted as gowns - again, better than nothing?...

I am failing to comprehend this! Is it me? Where is the evidence? WHO reported a study that’s indicating virus can stay airborne in different temps? Surely it’s better to be precautious and protect workforce whilst awaiting concrete results? Isn’t an apron essential anyway?

Whoever told u this =liar! Even for family caring for mild case at home, WHO recommends gown, eye protection, mask, gloves. Absolute madness to make staff work without eye protection and long (fluid-resist)gown. I will paste in WHO current guidance for HCPs in next tweet /1
