The FDA requires certain types of studies to sign off on Drug X being used to treat Condition Y. (Double-blind, # of patients, control groups, etc) It's why getting any new drug to market in the US is so expensive. Until the FDA signs off, the CDC is limited in what it will say.

Amazing data you shared on Ingram. My girlfriend has Lupus and takes Plaquenil. I believe she takes a 400 mg dose. Gregory, what dose is necessary for the prophylactic effect to hold COVID19 at bay in your opinion? Thank you for that great segment (wow).

Frontline ER Physician. Should I take prophylactic HCQ? Or wait till I have any symptoms? Obviously u don’t have enough data yet; but what would u do?
-
Yes, it will not hurt you and it might save your life. Dr William Grace in a New York hospital has treated over a hundred covid19 patients and all have survived with chloroquine and Zpac. Doctors in Washington state are using it off label for covid19 patients.
