from what I understand though from following #Nightengales is that ME pem is a different level. Some unable to even brush their teeth. Whereas we can function, we just get fatigued very easily. We rest & recover. But they can't recover if they go outside of energy envelope

For me, that's how I tell us apart. Like - I don't think someone with EDS alone could end up like Whitney, unable to speak/eat etc. I think you need ME/CFS for that level of PEM. No? I'm open for discussion I know it won't be a fight here 🤣

not at all Bob, I appreciate your perspective always. The spoon theory is a good point? Are some mixing the two up I wonder? spoons and PEM? I dont think pts with ME can use spoons like we can. but not sure tbh

Maybe your wife has ME also?! Have you watched Unrest to get a better perspective on what it’s like? Lots of science in the film as well

Since these are both clinical diagnoses, it is going to be very difficult to disambiguate what we really mean when we say a person has one or the other v. two co-morbid conditions when they meet both criteria until we do actual science.
