Trump is in Paradise, CA, walking a neighborhood incinerated by wildfires. Trees with alligator skin from burn marks. Only a few metal items recognizable in rubble - crumpled Dish TV satellites and washers, steel beams.
He’s listening to Mayor Judy Jones and FEMA’s Brock Long.

“We’ve got to take care of the floors. The floors of the forest,” Trump said in Paradise, CA.
Other countries do it differently—president of Finland said they spend a lot of time “on raking and cleaning. They don’t have any problem and when it is, it’s a very small problem.”

I grew up in Finland. a) it rains all year round. b) we have a lengthy and cold winter. c) Finland is a sparsely populated country with just over 5mil ppl, with land size ~3/4 of CA and most of it forests and lakes. d) no friggin body is raking the forests.
Well, not so. About 25% of California is deserts. CA has wonderfully diverse geography which is why we love our state so much.
And I did not only grow up in Finland, I still live here and am working on forest sector, and one of my duties is to produce a web magazine of forest sector in English.

Great write up! Thanks for sharing. I miss the Finnish forest, particularly in the fall. Berry picking, mushrooming...
