This line infuriated me: “There are not a lot of female directors period, and even less who are inclined to do horror.”
First off, look harder (and maybe at younger creators). Second of all, if you’re so into getting comedy guys to do horror, why not approach comedy girls too??
I really love that they are trying cool and new things in terms of story and format, but are you really being innovative if all of this is coming through a similar lens?

Anyway, I love horror and I’m a woman who has directed horror and would like to make more horror projects. If you are too, please put your hand up!

Its upsetting that he’s going off about offering projects to women who’ve already put something out there, take a risk on independent creators and younger generations. I think most of the horror aficionados I know are women. There’s no shortage.
