Most of the findings in this #ME/CFS study were not statistically significant 👉 Also if the oral #microbiome did change in the illness, it would likely be a DOWNSTREAM reaction - driven by pathogens/#pathobionts in blood/tissue that slow the immune response to survive

Agreed. They predict functions presented in the microbiome from their metagenome using a PICRUSt algorithm 👉 I don’t know that algorithm, but would be to cool to also see an actual transcriptome analysis:)
