Texas National Guard troops arrive in El Paso to assist with mortuary work from COVID-19 deaths

As COVID-19 cases and fatalities continue to rise in El Paso, the Texas Army National Guard sent a 36-person team to help move a backlog of close to 240 bodies at the county morgue. Officials had previously been relying on low-level inmates from the county jail to assist in moving the bodies of the deceased.
