Local Fox anchors bash black student who got into 20 colleges
Micheal Brown, a Texan teenager, applied to 20 colleges and got into all of them. https://twitter.com/i/moments/980770794019217408 …
Here's a new one: Local Fox anchors criticized this Black teen for working TOO hardpic.twitter.com/kka8fvgJrj
White people: GO TO COLLEGE, PULL YOURSELF UP BY YOUR BOOT STRAPS AND WORK HARD Black Kid: ok! White people:pic.twitter.com/Ks14mFo6WN
This doesn’t “take a space or a scholarship” away from ANYONE. Yale isn’t going to suddenly enroll only 1,499 freshmen or only give $4,950,000 in financial aid if this kid goes to Stanford instead. This is straight up, poorly coded, bigotry.https://twitter.com/nowthisnews/status/982710352298283009 …
Not only do you have to pay for the applications but you must write essays for each of these schools, many times, esp. prestigious colleges such as these 2-3 essays. Very time consuming and nerve wracking. It's a shame on them.
some of those schools require interviews, too. This was hours and hours of work put in.
Lol so now we are preaching mediocracy? Miss me w/ that BS. Let's support each other... please

For those who don't know or don't believe this concept, the anchors are displaying a good example of a microaggression. Trust me on it, as someone who was told on a number of occasions in my youth that I was "the smartest Black person" met by friends, faculty, etc. #Sigh1https://twitter.com/kashmirVIII/status/983024548739239936 …
BTW: The exceptional young man's name: Michael Brown.
Michael Brown, I wish you would’ve applied to 30 schools. Keep shining- you’re an inspiration to black and brown kids all over. Perhaps you could call it a representation of the fact so many of us have to work twice as hard to get half of what others get...https://twitter.com/nowthisnews/status/982710352298283009 …
