Today, 1 month after of the day that changed our lives forever, we will join the school walkout. We will join the walkout for every one of those 17, and for every other victim of gun violence. We will join for those that are still here. We will join for you. #NeverAgain

I went back to class and everything was normal. Everyone is happy. Me and my 3 friends here aren't. This isn't 17 minutes for us, this is the rest of our lives. Keep talking and keep listening. #NationalSchoolWalkout
Look at us, we're high school students. Look at the impact we have made. This is for our 17 angels, and this is for our country.

A common theme in the student speeches is how it’s irrational people can legally buy a gun before they can legally buy a beer.

To the Virginia students taking a stand against gun violence today: I’m with you. It’s time for Congress to take action. #NationalWalkoutDayhttps://twitter.com/13nikoclemmons/status/973916401261056000 …
Sometimes you have to get in trouble--good trouble, necessary trouble--to make a way out of no way.

Do you think you have the power to make change?
12-year-old student: "By myself, I don't think I have the power. But together with all these people here, I think we can make a change."

One Virginia teacher is encouraging students to ‘walk up’ to others, not just walk out.

Extremely proud to call myself a charger today. What we did was incredible.

I’m in Wichita today, where I covered a high school walkout for gun reform. Two older men I’ve met here - one former military man, one retired farmer - said they hunt and are proud gun owners. They told me they do not understand why anyone would ever need an assault weapon.
We usually hear about the gun control debate in terms of pro/con/red/blue, but there are so many more in-betweens than that. For the proud gun owners I met today, they see banning everyday people from buying assault weapons as common sense, plain and simple.

The media will only show students in favor of gun control during today's walkout. I've received dozens of emails from high school students with another story to tell, and who feel bullied into acting as props for an agenda they oppose. https://www.dailywire.com/news/28224/read-emails-high-school-students-who-oppose-todays-ben-shapiro …
