A Papa John's spokesman confirmed to the Denver Post that the former Broncos quarterback sold his Papa John's stake in 31 Denver-area locations two days before the NFL dropped them as an official sponsor.

Papa John’s is mad at the NFL for allowing players to protest and blames them for declining sales.
