The Attorney General said he was surprised Trump's travel ban could be blocked by "a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific." Many, including Hawaii's politicians, reminded Sessions that Hawaii is indeed one of the 50 United States.

Someone please tell Sessions that Hawaii is a state. An American in Hawaii is as American as one from Alabama. Or Indiana.

This is an extraordinary attack on a federal judge's right to do his job by a sitting AG. Completely inappropriate.

The judge could be wrong, sure, but A.G. Sessions is implying the further you are away from DC the fewer laws apply. Hawaii has laws too!
