U.S. halts Dakota pipeline construction despite ruling against tribe

A federal judge Friday denied the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's request for a temporary restraining order to halt construction on the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline. However, a trio of U.S. entities are voluntarily stopping construction because the “important issues” raised by the tribe remain.
