Journalist shot dead during riots in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland police confirmed the identity of a 29-year-old woman shot dead during riots in Derry/Londonderry as journalist Lyra McKee. Authorities are treating it as a “terrorist incident” and have launched a murder inquiry.

Serious rioting now in Creggan, tonight, police have come under gun and petrol bomb attack in Fanad Drive.
