Ukraine: a silent war that rumbles on

Following protests that toppled Ukraine's President Yanukovych, in March 2014 Russia annexed Crimea and pro-Russian separatists began an uprising in the Donbass region of Ukraine. Almost three years on and under a nominal ceasefire, Ukraine is divided, soldiers are still dying and shelling continues along the frontline.
