Seven years after literally setting their incredibly popular webcomic on fire, 'Pictures for Sad Children' author Simone Veil is opening up about the experience and sharing some new art.

The true story of 'Pictures for Sad Children'

In an email exchange with the author of this article in 2014, Veil came clean on the book-burning: Everyone who paid at least $15 had received a copy. The ones that were set on fire were damaged or misprints that couldn’t be shipped.
