    Absolutely no filter involved here. This is the morning sky over San Francisco at 8am. Orange, dark and ashy bc of wildfires. I was two days away from my 8th birthday when Mt. St. Helens shook the planet. I’m from Seattle-Tacoma and i remember the sky looked just like this.

    Remember yesterday how we talked about strong winds keeping the smoke aloft? Well those winds are weakening as we speak, now allowing smoke, even ash, to reach the surface.

    Red Flag Warnings have EXPIRED for the North Bay Mountains, East Bay Hills and Santa Cruz Mountains. Winds are weakening and the fire threat is much lower. However you can all see the weaker winds have allowed smoke to smother the Bay Area skies.
