"I wouldn't take it, certainly not outside a clinical trial right now," says on breaking news from Russia that the country has approved a vaccine. "It appears that it's only been tested in several hundred patients at most."

  14. Putin’s decision to approve a is reckless & dangerous. He’s putting national prestige above pubic safety. Law & ethics require phase 3 clinical trials for safety & efficacy. Peer review is vital. Russia is acting unlawfully & unethically.

  15. Not sure what Russia is up to but I certainly would not take a vaccine that hasn't been tested in Phase III. Nobody knows if its safe or if it works. They are putting HCWs and their population at risk.

They haven’t disclosed research data on this vaccine to the scientific community (at least not last I knew) and the Phase 3 clinical trial IS this public rollout of the vaccine.

Vladimir Putin claims has registered the first COVID-19 vaccine in the world. But in reality, the vaccine hasn't passed what is considered minimum testing. It hasn't yet even completed its final Phase III trial. Currently it's only been tested on a few 100 people
