Ahead of the vote tonight in the House, U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman had voiced his frustration about not having enough time to review and read the bill. President Trump would tweet his support of the bill before the House voted tonight. The Senate is expected to vote on Monday. #scpol

In a statement released after tonight's vote, @RepJeffDuncan voiced similar frustrations regarding a concern about a lack of time to review the legislation being voted on tonight.

"The final negotiated text of tonight’s coronavirus response bill was introduced just 20 minutes before the vote, without any time to adequately read or study the bill, without hearings, and with only 20 minutes of debate on the House floor," @RepJeffDuncan said in statement.

The final vote on the Families First #Coronavirus Response Act was 363-40-1. (U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, the only independent in the House, voted present.) The 40 votes against the bill were all cast by Republicans, four from South Carolina's five GOP congressional members.#scpol

McConnell: “I have canceled next week’s state work period so the Senate can work on this urgent legislation and reauthorize key national security tools that law enforcement need to keep us safe.”

Senate is scheduled to vote 5:30pm Monday to limit initial debate on proceeding to House-passed FISA reauthorization bill. Until the FISA bill is approved, any action on House coronavirus legislation will take unanimous consent to pass w/o the objection from all 100 Senators.
