At least 20 people dead after powerful earthquake in Albania
There were numerous aftershocks following the preliminary 6.4 magnitude jolt, which is one of the strongest quakes ever recorded in the country. The quake sent panicked residents rushing into the streets of the capital Tirana and caused at least one building to collapse in the port town of Durres.

Update: At least 20 people are dead following a magnitude 6.4 earthquake in Albania, say officials. The quake struck just before 4 a.m., with an epicenter just 20 miles from the capital Tirana. The economic damages may top $100 million.
