'This is something I deeply, deeply regret' — Trudeau addresses 'blackface' and 'brownface' photos

On Wednesday night, Time Magazine released a photo of the Canadian prime minister wearing "brownface" at an Arabian Nights-themed party in 2001. By Thursday, two more images emerged showing Trudeau in racist costumes. On Thursday afternoon, Trudeau addressed the media, stating: “Darkening your face, regardless of the context or the circumstances, is always unacceptable because of the racist history of blackface."
