The parents of Otto Warmbier are suing North Korea for the "barbaric treatment" of their son, who was returned in a non-responsive state and died after being held as a prisoner in the country.

No money was paid to North Korea for Otto Warmbier, not two Million Dollars, not anything else. This is not the Obama Administration that paid 1.8 Billion Dollars for four hostages, or gave five terroist hostages plus, who soon went back to battle, for traitor Sgt. Bergdahl!

North Korea sent the U.S. Treasury Department a $2 million bill for the medical care of Otto Warmbier, an American student who fell into a coma in 2016 after being sentenced to 15 years in a North Korean prison and later died.

In his first tweet of the day, asserts not a penny was paid to North Korea for the release of Otto Warmbier. North Korea gave US a bill for $2-million in medical treatment for Warmbier, before releasing the comatose American to return to US to die.

Of note: The "Taliban Five" have been in Qatar since 2014 and are now said to be part of the team negotiating a peace agreement with the United States.

I wonder if POTUS knows that his administration is now negotiating with the "terrorist hostages" exchanged for Bowe Bergdahl. The ex-Guantanamo detainees are representing the Taliban in talks with the US. See this, from , for background.

“President Donald J. Trump is the greatest hostage negotiator that I know of in the history of the United States. 20 hostages, many in impossible circumstances, have been released in last two years. No money was paid.” Cheif Hostage Negotiator, USA!

Trump did call someone else "the greatest hostage negotiator" — Robert O'Brien, a State Dept. special envoy who helped with the release of an American hostage in Yemen.

A quick Google search suggests this quote doesn't exist on the internet. So assuming someone on said it.

That "Cheif Hostage Negotiator" quote does not appear to come from a cable news segment, as far as I can tell. The only mention of the Warmbier story on Fox & Friends today was a news brief on Trump's other tweet on it this morning.

The hyperbole of that Trump-negotiator quote aside ... I'm not sure I'd say the return of Otto Warmbier was a resounding success of hostage negotiation.
