I kind of get what you're saying. The Dark mode on windows doesn't properly render the text in cleartype for some reason, thus it looks aliased.

Mint (Cinnamon/Mate/XFCE) doesn't render text very well. At one point I got frustrated by the low-quality UI.

neither does Ubuntu. It's a thing with most distros of Linux in general. I just hope they took these seriously because for now I can't do a lot of things on Linux comfortably enough to switch (worst of all is Netflix which just doesn't run in 1080p).

Yeah. Also cinnamon puts a heavy toll on the machine. I’m using Mint Mate at the moment.
