This applies to adults born from 1970 to 1996 because we typically only got 1 dose of MMR. I am in this range & got an MMR booster 20 years ago. If you don’t know for sure that you got a second dose, you may be more vulnerable than you think.https://twitter.com/SE_MacDonald/status/1116904336548741121 …

I had an MMR shot at the same time as my son’s first vaccinations because they discovered my lack of immunity during pregnancy. Hope it took!

You are considered likely immune. (The linked article explains this.)

After my very recent (and severe) Hepatitis A infection (most adults in the US are not vaccinated), I’ll be asking my doctor to check titres on a lot of vaccine-preventable diseases. 😰

Excellent and important point - discovered last year my titer was low before an international trip, and was able to be revaccinated before leaving.

Yep... saw the article: verification of our vaccines has been added to the to-do list! I've wondered this in the past: how many things we assume we are vaccinated against (no idea where my childhood vaccination record is!) and either never were or we are no longer protected...

People don't always remember to get tetanus boosters either, and those have to be redone at least every 10 years.
