Mum explains how she just can’t afford £8.50 for a polo top and £20 for a sweater. We are paying for some new ones for her but we need to tackle uniform costs

The comments at the end of the Argus article show just how small minded/self centred people can be. The last thing kids want is to have the fact they can’t afford things other take for granted thrust in their faces at school. Keep fighting - it makes difference where it matters

In last 3 months 21,000 jobs have been lost due to retail crisis, company restructurings & Carillion's collapse. A grim start to 2018 for many workers & their families. Govt needs clear plan to prevent more job losses on such a scale. Anything less would be a dereliction of duty.
