Huw. You tell the story of the BBC Newsrooms I know well, and I agree that beyond 'screw the management' there's no possibility of group think or a centralised agenda. Where the BBC does need to be wary is lowering its standards when it comes to using social media. 1/2

Over pressured journalists, without the rigour of going through producers and editors, risk lowering the standards and jeopardising the BBC brand. Unverified tweets and 'sources tell me' risk turning journalists into PR flacks, and the BBC must avoid that at its peril.

Why is it ‘bilge’? If you aren’t accountable to licence fee payers who are you accountable to? When the Tories cut the bbc further you’ll have no supporters left.

There are people who have been deliberately placed within the BBC with the sole purpose of destroying it.

Hi Huw, I'm very certain the majority of BBC News employees are fully committed to neutrality and worked hard during the election to this end. With that said, the BBC need to fire Laura Kuenssberg and employ more senior presenters and editors who aren't literally Conservatives.

Neutrality & balance... If
@bbclaurak is considered to be biased to the right, what about@AndrewMarr9 on the left? If one was pushed out, the other should be as well. Having said that, in my opinion Marr is far more biased: the Johnson interview was a rant, not an interview. - Još 1 odgovor

Trouble is the BBC applied the same sort of "balance" to Brexit as it did to climate change for decades: always put up two sides, regardless of the relative factual strength of their views. So you invite a pro-Brexit economist to counter the views of 1,000 economists, etc.

Here's the relevant section from my book, Slaying Brexit Unicorns. It spells out the problem in detail...pic.twitter.com/ovkzbvlIVZ

It’s okay. “Right on cue” a “Downing Street source” confirmed that Boris got “the majority he so deserved” to enact his “spending plans”, partly due to the postal vote you revealed. Here’s some 2016 Cenotaph footage of Boris. Fingers still crossed for that Andrew Neil interview..

This and so much more. The Question Time audiences with known Tory councillors asking planted questions, baseless claims unchecked by presenters, "this is him here"...All faith and trust is lost in BBC News, I've blocked them on here. Huw needs to listen.
