@themadray Visual content is an actual process of thought—providing the necessary context for critic. The two seem to be equally important.
We need to stop asking for portfolio because design is moving towards ‘thinking’ not ‘visual’.

@publicesprit You’re right but by asking for just portfolio, they clearly aren’t equally important, are they?1 retweet 0 likes -
@themadray If thought is inherent in the visual content, they are one in the same. Visualization is the objective manifestation of thought.0 retweets 0 likes - View other replies

@publicesprit Absolutely not! Sometimes ‘design thinking’ has zero do to with visuals and a portfolio does not reflect that.0 retweets 1 like -
@themadray Interesting. What would be the physical manifestation of design thinking? In the abstract, can we administer objective criticism?0 retweets 1 like - View other replies

@publicesprit The experience aka UX. Reason I agree both visual is equally important is because it contributes to the experience.0 retweets 1 like

@DannPetty you're making the assumption that everyone that looks at the portfolio know design.0 retweets 0 likes - View other replies

@jjalsop@themadray Just about every portfolio I’ve seen (and been asked for) is about the final visual work, not the thinking behind it.0 retweets 0 likes -
@Snugug@themadray yeah it’s not good. Defs agree they need to be more about your process instead of the output0 retweets 0 likes

@themadray Also passion to solve problems. We want designers with fire in their bellies!0 retweets 0 likes -
@themadray More focus should be placed on the process. The end result is great but has no soul.0 retweets 0 likes -
