We're looking at ways to listen to music and podcasts for long periods of time, while we're at sea.
With this little mp3 decoder board and a rechargeable lipo battery, we get a much better runtime than with a phone.

yours is slightly different, where your micro usb connector is, I have 2 pin to solder a battery connector(which I'm doing today)

yeah, it's already the size of a 500 battery mat, so the buttons are not an issue. I definitely prefer buttons to gesture sensor since it'll be used in shitty weather.
