Every time I call bullshit on a bureaucratic policy. Or say no to completing a dangerous task. Or point out the potential implications of a decision that CLEARLY wasn't thought through to the end.

Yes to this! The ramifications for even questioning a direction that Clearly wasn’t thought through (and will undoubtedly lead to consequences for the company) are shockingly severe

Was also almost passed up for a promotion because I was "so good at my current position" and they "needed me there". I said well, you're going to lose me from that position either way so pick your poison. I stay and get promoted or I take my talents elsewhere. I was promoted.

Have also been told to watch how I say things to people but at the same time they didn't want me to "lose my edge" - confusing lol. Basically... watch what you say to certain people bc they will always take things in a negative light/tone.

Yeah as an assertive woman I got they labeled too aggressive when the men create so much chaos around others .. The ones who react negatively to assertive women are usually very traditional conservative- awkward around opposite sex
