I think I can be both grateful and angry to my mom/parents. I know they did their best, and I'm thankful for that, but even that best sucked sometimes, and I felt so unappreciated often. And I would love my mom to validate that anger. You're not alone. Big hug.

This is complicated cos you’re right and wrong at the same time and so is your mom. For your own peace (if you’re invested in your own peace) maybe just call her up and move past it.

I remember calling my dad a night to POP, all I asked was for him to send the driver to pick me from camp. He didn’t come he was used to me doing it all by myself. With my box on my head, I cross Kubwa express & then found my way home. That was painful, whether healed or not.

So much aching truth here. I want to love on this poor girl and her honesty.

I don't think people should pay back to their parents unless they want to. They wanted us, not the other way around. The things they did for us, were musts since you have to make sure your kid is good.

I'm in her shoes. The same thing in my life & I think mine will last forever. I prefer it that way.
