A lot of women lose themselves when they're married, and moreover, when they have children. And when the children are finally away, they are facing such identity crisis, don't know what to do anymore.

Addiction is a genetic problem. Anything can trigger it if it’s in your make up. It’s no one’s fault that your mum succumbed to this disease. So sorry you’ve had to take care of her.

Can it be that she was bored? She had nothing to do but care for you, and when that falls away. She didn't have any other focus. Drinking out of boredom and letting negativity grow inside you does ugly things.
