Not about choosing words. It’s about choosing a frame. Is the person a character in a trauma? Or is the trauma merely a part of their character? The latter approach gives power and agency to subject.

Think this is the first time I read you explain directly the philosophy/principle - and yes, for that we love not just what you do, but you yourself too.

My husband has gradually gone totally blind. While this trauma was happening, it was very hard. I asked him how he wanted to live now “as a blind person in the sighted world not in the blind ghetto”. He grows all our veg now, goes out and about. My job is enablement!

Beautiful and inspiring story. We tell fairy stories to children, where the lonely princess marries the handsome prince, usually with the help of magical creatures but YOUR story, YOURS, is the one with the happiestc ending. You are a magical creature Love to you and your mother!
