This one hit very close to home. To all the great step parents of this world.

Step-dads are so often the unsung heroes. I was raised by one and am married to one. They are frequently disrespected, unappreciated, or downright abused, and yet they show up for these kids that aren't even theirs in so many ways. All because they love a woman.

Bless Andrew. Step Parents, I think disciplining your step children should be your very last resort. Their main parent must be ultimately super ordinarily useless for you to consider disciplining not-your-children. They will never see it as coming from a place of love so don’t.

OR do we discipline those we love? ( let’s define “discipline”) to NOT discipline implies not caring. Proper discipline sets the bar( appropriatly) high and holds us to that standard. Perhaps the opposite of love is indifference?
