This lady probably saved her mother's life, and definitely changed her family forever... for the good. My dad used to beat up on my older brother. Not me, because I was a "sickly" little girl. When my kid brother was born (I was 10), I wondered what would happen when he got older

Unfortunately many of us live through this because of alcohol...and it is not always a man. It can be a woman. And the target is not always a grown up. It is amazing how resilient we all are considering how many of us grow up this way. My heart goes out to you
