Paul Kagame is the President of Rwanda and Chairperson of The African Union. He also served as commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Front, the military force that ended the genocide in 1994.

Brandon, thank you for all the horrific stories , I learnt so much about Rwandan genocide ,may God heal them of all the pain they are still feeling... But is forgiveness enough in all of this atrocities?.
-
Yes. As the President said, "Only forgiveness can heal this nation." And today, we see people (survivors & perpetrators) living side by side, walking together and developing their country.

Kagame has achieved something that few African leaders ever have. Rwanda was a basket case in 2004. Today, the country is a symbol of hope, resilience and progress. In another 20 years, people from other African countries will be looking to immigrate to Rwanda. Guaranteed.
-
I agree with u, I’m happy for Rwandans and pray the peace continues to prevail however, i disagree with ur last about Africans wanting to immigrate to Rwanda, well some would eventually but if you follow the trend carefully, it’s still dangerous to think it’s safe

Of course. And there will always be degrees of emotions. I want the love for Kagame to be turned up a notch because they forgave to avoid punishment not war.
-
Not war haha? Recommend a quick google of the invasion(s) of Congo brother. Or the crackdown on opposition and human rights abuses, which HumansofNY won't cover. It is fine to argue why you think he is good and his achievements, but be honest about full reality please
