For the last couple weeks, Twitter has been making @KadariaAhmed bend over backwards to prove her work is 'important' enough to warrant a verified account. Then they stopped responding. She hosted the Nigerian Presidential Debates. What's a woman gotta do, @Twitter? cc:@jack

I still have newspaper cuttings of NEXT newspaper in my collections. They redefined journalism in Nigeria, but just like she said, truth is an orphan in Nigeria. They just couldn't stay long, but they left an indelible mark in that field.

How I love reading Next234 back in my ABU days! I still do check their to see if they're back. Dele Olojede realy created a movement and am a proud reader of the defunct Newspaper

Wow, I remember NEXT magazine, didn't realize this was why they folded.

Read Dele Olojede's (the founder) account a while back. Apparently, the Govt attacked their source of income - advertisements. From there, they died a natural death.

I remember Next! Was little then but my dad encouraged me to read a lot, knew from the first time I saw the paper that they were different. Bought it once with my pocket money, from then he knew that I had to read Next before him while he read other papers.
