Wrong!! Look around you'll find many girls who have achieved success abroad in many fields. I think that parents' acceptance or refuse depends on their education background ~the place in Which they raised and the people who are surrounded by!! Not all the people are alike.

Yeah, bro, you are absolutely right. But In Asia, mostly society is the main reason behind someone's overprotecting nature. Parents can't support their children even they want to, especially the father. Cause fear of a boycott or even worse in some over conservative societies.
