Brandon, thanks for being cool and posting a photo of this wonder woman while she's nursing.

I feel like you shouldn’t be asking for help from the father because the baby is as much yours as she is his. So you’re correct to ask “why aren’t you helping”.
-
I disagree.... many men aren’t sure how to help.

I think I was able 2 parent easier because my parents & siblings stepped in when I needed them to. My baby sister fed her during the night & let me sleep, my parents came with me 2 her new check ups, my bros came with me 2 ante natal classes. A village.

I remember how that felt. It took me so long to realise that asking for help is a big part of coping.

To every "Mommy" there should be a "Daddy" helping you. It seems like he is still in the picture, so I hope he does a better job helping you by now... Just because you are the mom doesn't mean you have to pull yourself apart 24/7. Let yourself be helped. You are still strong!!

Mommy and daddy both need help! We need to get good quality alone time and I don’t mean right after baby is asleep. Because once baby is asleep, then house chores happen or we knock out.

@humansofny Hi Brandon! We are an international organization that provides support to mothers suffering from perinatal mental health issues. I feel like it would be really beneficial to your audience to know that there are places they can look to for help if they are suffering! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better.
