I think a lot of people have times they look back on where they aren't proud of what they did. The need to fit in is strong. I am glad you realized you weren't being true to yourself. And I hope you are doing much better health-wise!

I can really relate to this story from being a disabled kid moving a lot and starting new schools all the time, trying to clique in fast instead of letting friendships develop natural. Still something I'm growing out of, to this day.

I can relate to this. In HS, I tried to be someone I'm not just to be accepted. I wasn't happy with it but I thought, as long as I'm "in" I should be fine. Now, I'm glad that that phase was over & just bcame my true self. Surprisingly, there are people who accepted the true me.
