Ethereum space is full of former smartphone app developer refugees. They are the quick-rich crowd. They didn’t see much success in smartphone app development, so naturally they flood into blockchain and saturate the space as they did in apps earlier. Modern day gold-rush fools.

Seriously tho to be a good mobile app dev actually requires a lot of hard work & solid CS skills. I’ve personally seen how hard it is to hire good mobile devs. True that the majority of apps nowadays are stupid but I attribute that more to stupid ideas than the engineers.

Absolutely, completely agreed. My post was referring to quality of ideas rather than software engineering skill or talent.
I didn’t mean to come off as condescending.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -

I don't mean to speak ill of any engineer or all of the hard work that people put into projects. It is hella impressive to witness all of the engineering talent. This was only in reference to the get-rich quick scheme crowd. Silicon valley has warped peoples expectations in tech

To add, I'd actually *love* to see more smartphone apps, services and general infrastructure rather than more blockchains, shittokens, and shitcoins. There is a great amount of untapped value to be created in the areas of PoS systems, accounting software, security, wallets, etc.

Infrastructure is far more critical to this space than "blockchain."

So I commend everyone who's actually creating value (building infrastructure, creating services, writing apps/software) rather than producing worthless tokens and wrapping it in shitty marketing in a get-rich quick scheme. I'm sure the former are more than capable of the latter

Agreed! There’s a lot to be done in the peripheral systems around Bitcoin & improving user experience in general

I predict that Square will have
#Bitcoin integrated into their PoS by the end of this year. They have a huge head start on everyone, only a software upgrade away.0 replies 0 retweets 2 likesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
